Dr. Jay Lister
Welcome to our practice! I’m Dr. Lister, and I love getting to know our community, one patient at a time. I appreciate each of my patients for who they are and respect each person’s opinions and ideas. I know that open communication is key to my job, and always take the time to chat with each patient. I will answer any questions and make sure that everyone is fully aware of their options for care.
Education and Experience
I completed my undergraduate studies at Southern Utah University and the University of Utah. I then enrolled in dental school at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated in 2001. After graduation, I worked for the U.S. Public Health Service caring for the residents of many of Alaska’s remote villages in the interior of Alaska. After working at the Tanana Chiefs Conference Dental Clinic we purchased a private practice in Fairbanks, Alaska. Fairbanks just didn’t feel like home for our family but we have found that connection here in Petersburg in 2008.
In addition to my formal schooling, I enjoy continuing to learn about the dental profession and attend a variety of continuing education courses every year to stay up-to-date with current advances in dentistry.
